Semly is developed and operated by an independent developer based in Spain. This app is distributed globally via the Apple App Store.
All indexing and semantic search happens locally on your device. When embeddings are generated, temporary API requests may be sent to third-party AI providers (e.g. OpenAI). We do not operate our own servers and no user content is stored outside your device.

Embedding requests are temporarily processed via third-party APIs (currently OpenAI). Your content is not linked to any identifier and is not retained by Semly. These providers follow their own security and privacy practices.
Third-party AI providers may process data outside the EU. We ensure they comply with applicable data transfer regulations, including GDPR adequacy standards or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
